Pollok park is incredible, I've been living in the South side of Glasgow now for seven years, and this slice of nature has been a 'go too' ever since I moved here, as parks go, this has the lot. For starters the Burrell Collection building, a truly magnificent place, I'm not too fussed with the contents, maybe one day I will be, I just love going in because as buildings go in Glasgow, this is a true gem, that glass facade that looks directly into the woods....genius. As for the woods, I think I've now walked nearly ever last inch in the last seven years, and I will continue to do so for some time yet. The best parts are the areas with no paths. The North wood is particularly spectacular, I've ear marked a whole load of locations over the last few years to photograph, this is the first of the lot, I will be adding to this very soon, and over the next couple of years I intend to build up a body of shots that reflect the more hidden parts of this beautiful park, it's pretty vast, and this shot took many many hours to produce, can't wait to get started on more.
