So here we are, finally got round to shooting some more of this ongoing portfolio project. I was quite excited when the Devialet Phantom landed at Loud and Clear having already shot the Expert models at the shop previously. There's no getting away from the crazy good looks not to mention the incredible sound, I've yet to hear a pair in stereo, but even just one of these will blow your mind. Product photography is a tricky game at the best of times, but when you have something so white and reflective, you've really got your work cut out for you, one thing I now know, I need to strip lights, and soon if I'm going to look at photographing more of this kind of product. Shooting whit on white is a real challenge, but i really wanted to make it work, and after a fair bit of trial and error, which is quite often the way, I got there. Having my camera hooked up to my Nexus 10 Tablet via DSLR Controller is a deal breaker for this work, being tethered to a laptop is probably one better, but I was short on time and space, and the tablet shows me everything I need, I only go down the laptop route if I'm editing during the shoot.
