I have no idea how Anna and Sam managed to run their original bakery from their number 47 flat. A fairly incredible achievement, hence they've kept the name. Bakery 47 is quite an old school concept when you break it down. Good honest food made with great care, attention to detail and the best ingredients. No wonder it's difficult to get in the door at times, it's a recipe for success in this age of low rent fast fix food. Considering it's on my doorstep, I am far too guilty of not going in often enough, the food is fantastic. They're on Victoria Road next to the postal depot, get on over and enjoy a rare treat of hand made baked goods made from the finest ingredients.
Shooting lifestyle photographs like this can be pretty demanding. You have to move quick, which isn't always easy when you work with a lot of lights as I do, not only that, Anna and Sam are still working at the end of the day, so I had to try and not get in their way as well as bagging the article. We kicked off at 6am, and got finished in time for some amazing lunch. Gillian Welsh was on art direction duties, thanks to Anna and Sam for their patience and amazing food.
