Having shot Deborah's house previously for an interiors article in Homes & Interiors Scotland the Guardian were interested in commissioning me to shoot a lifestyle piece for them. Shooting lifestyle photography is quite a different gig from interior photography, there seems to be an increasing trend for interiors shoots to have a more lifestyle feel, which means mixing up your skill sets and being flexible.

Not something everyone is comfortable with, and admittedly not my strongest area, which is great. You need to get out your comfort zone and push yourself to move forward, I really enjoy shooting these kinds of images and working with people in the shot.
